5 Reasons why you should be using Rosemary Essential oil

April 18, 2018 by A Stray Kitchen

Rosemary Essential oil (Rosmarinus officinalis) reminds me of two things.

If its subtle I think of Italian food, and if it's strong I think of my grandmother and her obsession with Vic's vapor rub.  Either way it's a good smell.

I love using the Vitality Rosemary oil in the kitchen, flavoring things that I don't want dried herbs in (like pizza sauce). Why the Vitality line? Because its the only Essential oil line on the market with FDA approved labling for consumption.

I love diffusing it with Pine and Vetiver Essential oils for a woodsy aroma to relax too.  I also apply it diluted to my feet when I'm not feeling well for added immune system support. It's my most used 'herby' oil currently (sorry Basil you're a close 2nd). Below are 5 reasons why you should use it too...

5 Reasons why you should be using Rosemary Essential oil

  1. It's aroma can decrease stress
  2. It can help lower anxiety
  3. When diffused it can help clear your head, and enhance focus and memory
  4. It can help get rid of dandruff and stimulate hair growth. Try making  Mermaid hair tonic.
  5. It's a natural bug repellent.

*Caution* You should avoid using Rosemary Essential oil topically  during pregnancy or if you have epilepsy. It also may cause issues if you have high blood pressure. If you have any concerns talk with your healthcare provider to decide wither you should use Rosemary Essential oil.
