Cashew Cream Sauce

A small bowl full of Cashew cream sauce aka Faux Cheese sauce,

A creamy and nutty sauce that can substitute cheese when cutting out dairy. It's great for topping Nachos, tacos, as a dip or turned into an Alfredo like sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Cashews
  • 2/3 cups Warm water (Plus extra if needed)
  • 2 TBS Nutritional Yeast
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. In a high powered blender or food processor combine the cashews and warm water.  Let this sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and pulse until creamy. Add more water a tablespoon at a time if you wish for a thinner consistency.
  3. Sauce can be used right away or stored in the fridge for up to a week.
