SclarEssence Essential oil Blend.
This Blend is made with Clary Sage, Peppermint, Spanish Sage, and Fennel Essential oils. It smells strongly of sweet and earthy Clary Sage with a hint of the Peppermint. It can be diffused or used topically. And in some cases taken internally. Which is why it is part of Young Livings Vitality line.
Personally, I make a roller bottle with it and apply it to my abdomen during 'that time of the month'. I'll also diffuse it during the day when PMS has shown it's ugly face. It's one of the oils I added to my collection after researching Essential oils to help me in my hormone department.
Why you should or shouldn't use SclarEssence Essential oil.
SclarEssence is a balancing oil for a woman's hormones and for overall female wellness. This blend doesn't contain hormones but is designed to support your body's own production of hormones. Specifically the production of Estrogen.
I love that I've been able to add it to my monthly wellness regime. I find it soothing when applied to my abdomen when Aunt Flow comes to visit. When my periods were really bad I used this daily (along with other things), once my period mellowed out I cut back and only use it during my time of the month.
Talk with your health care provider to see if this oil blend could be a natural supplement for decreasing those PMS symptoms. Because Sclaressence focuses on supporting systems that produce Estrogen it's best to talk with your doctor before using. You don't want to be using it if you're Estrogen dominate. (here is where I remind you that I am not a doctor or healthcare provider and nothing on this website should be used as medical advice. If you have health concerns you should always talk with your doctor prior to using natural supplements.) Once your Doctor approves SclarEssence make a roller bottle and go to town.
*Caution* This blend my cause sun sensitivity, use precaution when going out in the sun for 12 after using this oil.
Bev
what is your dilution ratio for a roller bottle of sclaressence?
Alycia Louise
Hi Bev,
If I'm planning on using an oil everyday I make the dilution around 5% (10 drops oil in a 10 ml roller bottle and topped off with carrier oil) or if I'm only going to use it occasionally and want a stronger dose I use a 10% to 25% dilution depending on how strong I want it (20-50 drops oil in a 10 ml roller bottle and topped off with carrier oil). It's best to always start out with a lower strength dilution and work your way up until you find the right balance for you.
